Natural hair movement The natural hair movement has gained momentum and even adopted by some notable celebrities example include, Omoni Oboli, Nse Ikpe, Uche Jumbo , Yvonne Nelson, Juliet Ibrahim, Yemi Alade, Adesua Etomi , Kate Henshaw etc. even most lovely brides wear their natural hair on their wedding day and it looks glamorous for the special occasion. This natural hair movement isn’t exactly new as history tells us that this look was especially popular back in the 60’s and 70’s. The afro look was becoming more mainstream being worn by even Non-Blacks and loosing much of its originality. In the 80’s, the natural hair movement ultimately came to an end. So why is natural hair making such a come back? According to Effgnobong John, she feels delighted wearing her natural hair and would advise her kids to stay natural.
